1986 - You don't get much earlier than this.... Deacs was rooting through some old stuff (like you do) and came across some prints taken on a Kodak instamatic by the looks of them. Anyway, he scanned them in and a selection are posted here below. They are NOT of the first ever game (v Chatham Hospital at Parkfields, Eden Park, Beckenham, where it apparently rained a lot and everyone went to the pub first) but of the second match v British Council at nearby Harvington, where we were to play many times over the first ten years or so (before going to the pub).

...even if he didn't have a proper kit bag
